Her Story
Tara Lynne Groth is a freelance writer in Raleigh, North Carolina. She has approximately 10 years of marketing experience and a strong background in residential and commercial real estate as well as direct mail. Before relocating to North Carolina in 2007 to work as a Marketing Manager, Tara Lynne was a Director of Public Relations and a Realtor on Long Island. Launched as a moonlighting endeavor, her writing business consistently outgrew itself. She resigned from her salaried job in the spring of 2010.
Tara Lynne virtually collaborates with businesses and non-profits across the nation in their marketing efforts through the composition of press releases, SEO content, newsletters, brochures, flyers and standard marketing collateral to improve the public's perception and awareness of her clients' products and services. She is the Vice President of Marketing for the Atlanta Writers Club and a member of The Authors Guild, Freelancers Union and the Association of Professional Business Writers.
Tara Lynne always networks with experts in unique fields and brings provoking twists to magazine copy. She writes magazine articles on topics ranging from GPS systems for dogs to night kayaking.
She hosts seasonal writing workshops through Triangle Writers, is the author of three poetry books and the first (and only) guidebook to the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival.
She also holds a B.A. from Stony Brook University where she wrote for The Stony Brook Press. Tara Lynne is an avid volunteer and has accumulated over 1,500 hours of service from hospitals, festivals and non-profit writing projects.
