Country Retreat for Creative Professionals

Thursday, March 8 - Sunday, March 11, 2018

Held at the River Landing Inn in Saxapahaw, NC
REGISTRATION CLOSED

Time and Space to Focus

Give yourself the time, space, and community to pursue what matters most to you. Through a combination of focus sessions, motivational presentations, and fellowship with creatives, this retreat allows you to get in the right mindset to move forward with what you’ve been meaning to start or complete.

You’ll be surrounded by other creatives in a bucolic setting. Rolling pastures, a river walk, and a welcoming mill village provide an inspiring space to reflect, and bring new perspective and energy to your work.

This is an intimate group of creative professionals (limited to 4 guest rooms) who might be working on a wide range of projects. Someone might be developing a mission statement for their business, another individual might be starting a memoir, while someone else might be laying the groundwork for a podcast. Whatever you need to dedicate time and space for, you’ll be able to do it here with others who have a shared vision.

Our Location

The River Landing Inn is located at 5942 Whitney Road, Graham, North Carolina 27253. While the address is Graham, this is really Saxapahaw. Saxapahaw is an eclectic mill village on the Haw River with award-winning and locally-sourced food, brewery, coffee shop and unique music venue, and poetry walk. The village is within walking distance of the inn. The Mountains-to-Sea Trail and Haw River Trail run right through town. Although unavailable during this retreat, in warmer weather Haw River Canoe and Kayak offers paddle options.

The Inn is set on 20 rolling acres of pasture and hardwood forest along the the Haw River. Beautiful local art adorns the common spaces and guest rooms.

French ToastBreakfast at the inn.
Meals

Note about breakfasts prepared by the inn: “Fresh beans are ground each morning for a delicious cup of coffee to start your day. A continental breakfast consisting of homemade breads, muffins, jams, a variety of cold cereals and granola, fresh fruit, milk and juice are also included.”

Dinners will be a mix of catered buffet-style served at the inn, and group dinners at restaurants within 2 miles of the inn. Transportation to restaurants is not provided or included, but I imagine a democratic process for carpools will occur on the day of. If you opt not to participate in group dinners at restaurants, I’m happy to shuttle a takeout order back to the inn when the group returns after dining.
